We, the Kutch Craft Collective are currently working towards providing immediate and long-term support to the artisans of Kutch, individually and jointly. Over the months we will also be focusing on craft & design development for the sector.

The COVID -19 virus has reached remote villages of this large district, where medical facilities are scarce, with no access to emergency healthcare. Their livelihood and wellbeing have become an uncertainty. The artisans of Kutch are known for the exquisite handcrafted products that they make. Creations made with love and devotion reach patrons all over the world. Artists, designers, photographers and travellers find their way to Kutch to learn more about the district which harbours over 30 different traditional crafts. The Kutch Craft Collective is an organisation with 5 leading NGOs of Kutch at its core- Kala Raksha, Khamir, Qasab, Shrujan and VRDI. For decades, each of the individual organisations have worked towards reviving, supporting and promoting the artisans and crafts of Kutch. We have now come together to further the cause and support the communities of the district in this global health crisis. We are all located in Kutch and will be able to provide help and support immediately. We look forward to your support in this hour of crisis. No amount is too small, every contribution counts.
